Hi, I’m Dr. Kaz! Welcome and thank you for allow me to share a bit about myself and what makes Kitagaito Orthodontics so special.
I am dedicated to delivering the utmost quality of care to all of my patients. My interest is to utilize cutting-edge technology to optimize treatment outcomes. Additionally, I understand that great treatment goes beyond technology. To me, excellent treatment hinges on effective communication and understanding you and your loved ones specific needs. Hence, I prioritize keeping you well informed throughout your orthodontic journey, ensuring you have the most comfortable and efficient treatment experience as much as possible.
Start of his Journey
I grew up in the suburbs of Los Angeles, where, during my upbringing, I naturally became the unofficial tech support for both my family and the Japanese American community. I took genuine pleasure in being the go-to person for all things tech-related because I enjoy solving and fixing problems. The joy of making a positive impact and providing tangible solutions was the driving force behind my passion, leading me to pursue dentistry and orthodontics.

Beyond the Smiles
Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Kaz enjoys sports, traveling, discovering new food, and exploring the Pacific Northwest with his wife, Nikki, and our rescue pup, Troy. His Favorite sports to play are tennis, pickleball, golf, and snowboard. Additionally, the new places he’s loved the most so far are Rome, Fukuoka, Hawai’i, and Whistler – with many more on my travel bucket list.

Board Certified Orthodontist
In order to become board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), Dr. Kaz was thoroughly tested to demonstrate his orthodontic knowledge, clinical skills and judgment. The ABO certification process signifies a unique achievement—a significant step beyond the two to three years of advanced education required for a dentist to become a specialist in orthodontics.
The ABO is the only certifying board in the specialty that is recognized by the National Commission on Recognition of Dental Specialties and Certifying Boards as the national certifying board for Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
